Sponsored Content Policy

Published 8 September 2026  ·  Reviewed annually, or whenever our practice changes

Medical Tourism Watch accepts sponsored content. It is labelled, separated from journalism, and never presented as our independent reporting.

Labelling

Sponsored material carries a clear label at the top, visible before the reader begins reading, naming the sponsor. It is visually distinguished from editorial content, excluded from feeds presented as independent reporting, and marked so search engines and aggregators can identify it.

Who writes it

Sponsored content is written or approved by the sponsor. It never carries an independent Medical Tourism Watch news byline.

What we will not accept

  • Clinical outcome or success-rate claims we cannot verify under our fact-checking policy.
  • Prices advertised without a date and conditions.
  • Material presenting a provider as accredited, ranked or endorsed by us.
  • Patient lead-generation forms.
  • Anything that would cause foreseeable harm to a patient acting on it — see our medical disclaimer.

What sponsorship does not buy

News coverage, editorial placement, ranking or watchlist inclusion, favourable analysis, or protection from criticism. Sponsors are not shown editorial content before publication and are not told what we are working on.

Sponsored reports and newsletters

Where a report or newsletter edition is sponsored, the sponsor is named at the top, and the sponsor’s role — funding only, or funding plus subject input — is stated.

Related businesses

Sponsorship by a business connected to the publisher is subject to the same rules, plus the disclosures in our related businesses policy.

To discuss sponsorship, see advertise with us. Our revenue sources are listed on the transparency page.
