What we check before publication
- Statistics and market figures against the original source, not a secondary report of it.
- Prices against a named provider or published tariff, recorded with the date checked.
- Accreditation claims against the accrediting body’s own register.
- Regulatory and visa claims against the issuing authority.
- Quotations against a recording or written record.
- Titles and affiliations against a current source.
What we will not publish
- Outcome or success-rate claims resting only on a provider’s marketing.
- Prices without a date.
- Statistics whose original source we cannot identify.
- “Best” or “top” claims that are not the output of a published methodology.
Who checks
Medical Tourism Watch is currently a single-editor publication, and checking is performed by the author before publication. For investigations, related-business coverage and other high-risk stories, we seek review from a qualified person outside the publication before publishing.
Before publishing: This paragraph is honest about your size, which is the right instinct. Confirm you are comfortable stating it publicly, and adjust if anyone else reviews your work.
