Corrections Policy

Published 8 September 2026  ·  Reviewed annually, or whenever our practice changes

We would rather be corrected than be wrong for longer. This page explains how to report an error and what we do about it.

How to report an error

Email contact@medicaltourismwatch.com with “CORRECTION:” in the subject, or use the contact form and choose “Correction or clarification”. Tell us the article, the specific claim, what is wrong, and — if you have one — the source that shows it.

How quickly we respond

We aim to acknowledge corrections within one working day and to resolve them within three.

What we do

  • Minor errors (typographical, formatting, broken links) are fixed without a note.
  • Material errors — anything affecting a fact, figure, price, name, date or characterisation — are corrected with a dated note at the foot of the article stating what changed and why.
  • Headline or central claim errors carry the note at the top of the article.
  • Substantially rewritten or withdrawn articles are marked as such, and the original URL is retained with an explanation.

We do not silently delete. Articles are not removed to resolve a dispute. Where a legal obligation requires removal, we say that removal has occurred. See copyright and takedown.

News monitoring

Published news items are monitored for corrections for at least 30 days.

Public log

Every material correction is recorded in our corrections log.

Complaints about our conduct

If you believe we have breached our own editorial policy, say so and we will respond in writing. Verification standards are in our fact-checking policy.
